Ceramic lithographs can be applied to any smooth, non-porous surface, and are remarkably durable. For further protection, a coat of varnish may be applied. Seen here is a door in Mogg Street, Bristol. A layer of hardboard was removed from this door to reveal original paintwork from perhaps the 1950's. "Autumn Memories" lithographs were then applied to give a great period feel. this process can be used on furniture equally as well as on doors.
