Chris Chalkley is the prime mover in the development of fancybogs. He has run his wholesale pottery business over a period of twenty-five years. The last few years have seen a terminal decline in the Staffordshire Pottery business, as a result of global trading forces.

Chris decided that he would use his skills garnered over his working life to create a business that will safeguard some of the wonderful skills and products that were produced in Stoke until very recently.

Over the last few years, Chris's interests have diversified, and he manufactures monkey puppets and juggling equipment under the name of Mighty Banana. He works occasionally as a children's entertainer with his faithful spaniel, Charlie. He has also recently trained as a masseur, and is studying tai chi. His daughter, Dominique is training to be a dancer, and this has led Chris into an exploration of the interface between juggling, dance and tai chi.
